A dark day

The sun as setting as Small Lady knelt beside the upturned basket. Inside, a small child wailed. The grass besidenher was stained red and as small lady gazed around she saw the woman,dead in the grass. As she moved cautiously closer the body vanished, like dust blowing on the wind. The baby, her silver blanket clovered in blood stains, quieted and settled to sleep. Small Lady lifted her gently, careful not to wake her, and held her in her lap for a long time, as she cried. The golden cloth that cushioned the baby was strewn about the grass. Beside her she saw the small crystal, an avalon beacon crystal, it too covered in blood. It was indeed a dark day in Crystal Tokyo, but she knew, darker still in the sister city, of Avalon.

After Submitting to 's Contest I realized I needed a back story for danu's disappearance in the story. Also I needed a way to conjoin the SM universe to mine. And Danu became my common denominator. I hereby place danu in the care of the royal family. Danu after all is the celtic goddess of the moon and rebirth.
